Following section provides different Transportation options like public transit systems, private services, and government programs that provide mobility for work, medical appointments, and daily errands.
Citrus County Transit Services
Citrus County offers several transportation resources, including Citrus County Transit which provides deviated fixed-route services ("Orange Line") and door-to-door paratransit for those with disabilities. Other options include specialized services for veterans to the VA hospital in Tampa and transportation to the Social Security office in Ocala. The Transportation Disadvantaged Program provides affordable transportation for eligible residents with disabilities, the elderly, or low-income individuals.


Orange Line
Citrus County Transit services are provided by the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners. Bus service times vary per route, but in general deviated fixed-route and Door to Door from 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Veterans Transportation
Effective Jan 01, 2025 Citrus County Transit (CCT) provides transportation for Citrus County Veterans with the exception of holidays

VA Hospital in Tampa every Tuesday.

VA Hospital in Gainesville every Wednesday

VA Clinic in The Villages every Thursday

Transport to the Social Security Office the last Friday of every month for all the citizens of Citrus County.​​
